Planet Four Talk
more blue patches
no fans or blotches but very pretty
Photographic error.
deep valleys with stained effect
icy mesas!
Dark blotches forming near cracks
This screams river delta - very beautiful and facinating!
Blue-stained blotches
valleys being carved by melted ice?
More strange grains.
tight cluster of dark green grains/blotches at the bottom right of the picture.
Absolutely loads of white dots - how/why?
What are the pixels of vivid red found near the nice crater?
Short, fat fans and strange clusters of grainy blotches.
more dust collecting at the bases of dunes?
What's going on here? It looks like dendrites! lots and lots of streaked blotches. Wind predominantly E-W direction.
Nice peaked crater and more orange blobs at the top centre of this picture.
very grainy surface again
Fans can be created later, when the wind is blowing in a different direction. Result; some fans go in different directions than others.
The surface in this picture seems heavily pitted besides.
beautiful
Another blue plume, one source two fans of dark material, with larger areas of blue surrounding them.
More grains, this time a greeny-blue
more circular grains
Very grainy landscape here. Not sure what's going on but i'd like to know!
Dust or sediment running down a channel at the top right of this picture and slightly to the middle left lies another example.
A streak of orange blotches runs from N-S in this picture - photographical effect?
Gusty!
More dust blown off of dunes to reveal ice. Although there are no obvious fans or blotches; it seems the wind was blowing in a S-E direction
Is dark sediment piling up at the base of the dunes to the middle right of this picture?
Chain of small craters to the bottom-left of this picture. Look closely!
Icy craters! What's causing them?
Ignoring the obvious ridges; there seem to be very fine cracks in the ice - It looks like the ice has broken into large polygonal sheets.
Irregular ice structure - some sort of icy ridge?
River valleys or dunes with many scattered sources. Something melting at the centre of these features and flowing down a slope?
Ice revealed from the tops of dunes as the dust is blown away.
Dunes or valleys with a vein-like appearance. Seem to originate from bulges on the surface. Discuss.
to the middle-right of this picture are orange blobs which seem to be peaks of some geological formation.what could cause the orange colour?
