    Perhaps a burried/filled in crater perhaps. Kinda like the faint ring that the area we study called Inca City is part of.

    I think the first image does have clouds in it. Have you checked the HiRISE public website page to see if that image is captioned?. I've seen another HiRISE images clouded out by the global dust storm from season 1 that was captioned by the team.

    Hi!

    The first image definitely shows clouds, most probably katabatic winds bringing down some moisture from the subliming cap.
