Martian landscape experiment

I have been experimenting with some of the Mars mission photos, to try and make more sense of the topology. Ignore the colours, as highlights and shadows have been negated. Spiders are particular suited to this type of conversion. No images have been rotated.

Mind numbing Dave......wouldn't you almost give an arm and a leg to be able to stand in the midst of all that?
Are these off-site pics, or can they be found among "our" images here?
Resolution 'looks' to be higher than typical here.Posted

Not unless you want to freeze to death 😃.
Thanks for your comments. The images are just ones that were supplied, mainly spiders. Below, is the last image with normal parameters, so that you can compare the two.

I am really impressed JM!
Not quite sure how/what you've done, but it certainly seems to add 'depth'!

Looking at the 2nd last image i guess that these are all negatives of the original, which effectively moves the sun to top left which is where our brains want it to be?

Yes, they are all basically negatives, so dark fans (if any) become light ones. Any images that don't translate too well (and there are quite a few), will fare much better if rotated through 180 degrees. I hope to put up a short tutorial soon, of how they were done.
