Image could be due to dendritic drainage rather than impact or impact could cause drainage (melt and runoff?)!

Hi,
No liquid needed. Those are channels, but they're made in a very different way then you're probably used to. They are carved into the surface of Mars by carbon dioxide gas trapped under the thawing carbon dioxide ice sheet on the south pole of Mars.
