Couldn't resist putting this on the board. This type of spider development covers miles and miles on the HiRISE view. Not 'polygonal' or 'rectolinear' , not 'dendritic' or 'spider' ??HOW?? .

Nice catch. This looks like 'unorganized lace' terrain (see here page 8) to me . Planet Four PI Candy Hansen had a paper where she describes a few of the different types of spiders. The press release link I've included shows some examples of those different subclasses.
