Stained image?

Like looking into someone's eye... any ideas? I have spun the image through 180, bumped up the contrast/brightness settings and added some colour. Here is the original... APF0000xmr.

Yet another new object to me. Polygon surface top right moving to rippled surface top left. Central depression appears to be deeper/steeper on the 'rippled edge' side with shallower slope on the spidery side. Is that hour glass shape on the left, with a blotch on left edge, being broken into by the central depression? Weird indeed. Good find, JM.
