Fan or Blotch?

  The larger areas I'm marked as blotch as the fan tool doesn't really define the correct area affected. But I note that most of the large areas do seem to have vent, for want of a better name, about a tenth of the left/right diameter of the blotch in from the left most edge.

  In this case is 'blotch' the more valid classification?
