Unusually 'defined' blob

I saw what looked like a lake bed in my first image. Not sure about this being similar since it doesn't seem to have much in the way of associated river stream patterns. Could be a rock outcrop or even a hole. Circular ones have been found on the flanks of the giant volcanoes that are thought to be openings into old lava tubes. Then again it does look vaguely like a cat;-)

This looks different somehow to all the other black smudgy things that I keep seeing. It has defined edges - like a lake or a whole in CO2

I think it is dust or dirt emanating from below the surface.

Condolences, Jellymonster, I think when your cat was still warm he caused a weakness in the ice - hence the release of dirt.
