  Yes, these are the boulders at the base of fans that cause them, tag with #boulders and maybe comment something like boulders at the base of fans

  I guess boulders tent to come to rest in depressions in the terrain. And perhaps the vents are associated with the depression.

  They are boulders, look at the light on the ground. The sun is low to the horizon and light is coming from the bottom right of the photo. The boulders too are catching the sun on the bottom right surface. If these features were craters, the bight edge would be on the opposite side and the bottom right edge of the feature would be in shadow. I too thought I saw small craters on a different image, but a closer look at the way the light catches them show they are raised objects not craters.

  Looks like a #boulder or two in this image. They look similar to other images with boulders. Thanks for marking.
