Pink red colouration - is this on the terrain, is there an common explanantion for this?

Yeh, this area gives me a lot of work! 😃 The color images are combinations of 3 color filters. In color composite of this place blue channel get saturated in the "wiggles" of channels - somehow CO2 ice is bright here and it hits the specular reflection at some particularly oriented surfaces. I think, our algorithm just removes those saturated pixels thinking they are bed pixels. If blue is missing, you get red color popping out.
