    They have been nicknamed "spiders" or spider channels, and are channels in the surface eroded by venting CO2 gas when the surface ice is subliming in the Spring and Summer. In this image, the surface ice has gone, leaving the channels still visible in the defrosted underlying surface. Here is an image of some spider channels visible through the translucent ice.
