Sub solar azimuth

  • p.titchin by p.titchin

I was looking at a few images recently (not this one), trying to determine whether some features were raised bumps , or hollows, and found that the sub solar azimuth is not being given now. Anyone know if we are going to get it back? ~Pete

    Hi Pete,

We just got those values added back onto the HiRISE page. So if you click on HiRISE image link the numbers should be there. At least for that, that should work, but I will followup with the development team and see if they have time for project maintenance and can get the values updated on Talk.

    Cheers,
    ~Meg

Very many thanks Meg. After years of looking at the images, most you can take a good guess. It's when the sun is higher, and something odd comes up that the SSA helps. Much appreciated help ~Pete.
