Parallel lines

    Multiple parallel straight lines (as if drawn by a scale) and almost equidistant run across the terrain .This is an interesting feature to be explored since straight lines are rare in narture .Are these fault lines in underlying carbon di oxide ice ? What creates them such straight and equidistant lines ?

    Hi There. This is the same region as your other image in the Help section; 'Giza', near the pole. The image here shows wind erosion features known as 'yardangs'. There's a blog post about them which might be of interest to you:
