Hi again nahuper. These surface deposits of vented dust have formed #blotches rather than #fans, because there was little wind during the time of the venting episode. They are a kind of average size, and over a factor of 10 less than you are judging them. Here is a nice image of large venting episode occuring when the wind was blowing. APF0000pn4 The depoaits have formed large confluent fans. Still much less than 'kilometers' in size though I'm afraid- but still impressive. 😉 ~pete
