Questions from strange blue colour

  • stephendinesh by stephendinesh

Am i right to say that the blue colour indicates carbon dioxide as ice? Are there any other inferences that we can draw from this image?

Hi. I see from one of your other posts that you've found an answer to the 'question of the blue'. 😃

    Hi stephendinesh,

It's still an open question. A nice description can be found in this discussion thread.

    Cheers,

From the first interpretation given in the link you provided, which is the CO2 falling back as ice. In my understanding this should have taken place in the spring time since outgassing happens in the spring, I was wondering what would be the average temperature of the surface of Mars in spring time where temperatures are warmer?
