Hi Kutku, welcome to the pleasures of the Mars . southern ice cap. This image is from an area 'nicknamed' Ithaca, and is of an area that defrosts in the Mars summer. This is the defrosted surface, and the bright spots are most likely frosty rocky outcrops that are catching the sunlight. There may also be little hollows that have retained frost catching the sunlight. To get a better view, click on the link at the bottom right edge of your image, marked 'View HiRISE image'. There is a list of views of the area from which your image is cropped. Click on either JPEG greyscale, or RGB colour, to get an amazing overview. The other files are great to explore, but take time, and are big packages of data. Have fun and explore away!~Pete
