Shadows or eruptive points?

by eugenius
I am supposing that the Sun is up, and at high elevation,so that the long rolling features are casting shallow shadows downward. This makes the identification of many apparent eruptive points moot, because we cannot be sure they are not all due to shadow effects. There do seem to be many more near the right margin, in an near the bright (frost?) region, so unless
the contrast is merely making them more obvious, there seems to be more gas expulsions here. Or does someone else
have a completely different take on what is going on here?Posted

Think what you have is mostly shadow, with as you've seen a few small blotch/fansl. If you take a look at the HiRise image or the area you get a better idea of what is going on, sun is bottom left here

To echo wassock, I wouldn't have marked anything in this image.
