    These look like dried-out river beds fanning out from a central location. These could be left over from when groundwater leaked out onto the surface from below the surface. This is just more proof that liquid water once or may still exist on the red planet.

    Those channels aren't carved by water. They are carved into the surface of Mars by carbon dioxide gas trapped under the thawing carbon dioxide ice sheet on the south pole of Mars. You can learn more about what these features are here and here.
