#snowballs

  snowballs or frost flowers another thought is could they be ice plugs a blow hole being sealed by ice somehow when the pressure is low or at zero then being exposed when the pressure returns, the ice flowers are escaping moisture being frozen on contact to atmosphere, this is a theory for debate chucked around for refinement

  do you see any other boulders and if they are boulder are erratics or how did they get there

  the snowballs i see are the same as ice flowers they have been formed by vapor escaping from a hole, the reason i say this the boulders/ snowball are nearly always in what appears to be a dark ring, my thinking is that the dark ring is a blow hole, glacial erratics all with a dark ring is to much of a coincidence, it is only my theory if erractic how come the dark ring although windswept dust could be a factor but the pattern does not look right. and most of the balls seem round where as erractics would be odd shaped and different colours.
