Threads on Sooty Lines

Thes image seems to have a grey sand soil, so evidence of wind disturbance. The black sooty lines have threads or crack lines (need to zoom in to see ) which seem to follow the contours of the sooty lines

Could this be a 'no ice' image of the fans from cracks type terrain? there are spiders following the lines of what would be a crack in the ice - dark fans settled on to the ice??
