Circular fault?

  • GaryT by GaryT

This image has a circle of deposits. There is no obvious central source. Is a circular fault unusual?

Thats a beaut not seen one like that before, there are lots of fans on curved cracks, but the terrain underneath tends to look quite different to this and they only form arcs

It has an octagonal look to it?

yeah, it's not really circular but polygonal, which is expected for cracks in the ice. cracks also can serve as sources for fans themselves but then (so far) without spiders around. More interesting for me here is the enormous contrast between fans and icy surface. Although one cannot trust the colors too much, this could mean that something is special with this image area in general.

The only other features that have this regular image could be the suspected pingo's?

Is it material erupting through a pingo feature?
