Beach maybe?

I saw this and can't help but think it may be some form of old beach or something? If anyone has any ideas or answers of what it could be I would be very happy.

It looks like the darker area and the lighter are on different levels one higher than the other.

These are of interest, difficult to scale, they must be some form of pillers by the shadows they cast, maybe wind worn harder rock features.
