orientation of spiders legs?

  • Paul4Mars by Paul4Mars

    1. This seems like two weather processes one on top of another, i.e., blown sand might at first conform to the underling pattern, but then with time eventually obliterate the underling pattern?

    2. Are the spiders 'legs' depressions or 'mounds'?
if the lighter of this picture are sun light and the darker are shadow, then presumably one, can from the orientation of light over the photo, can ascertain which is which?

    3. The 'lines' look as though they might be 'stretch marks' similar to the marks of a dividing fault, i.e., presumably the frozen co2 is being torn apart, this would mean that the 'gushers' would appear along that mid-line?

    Hi!

Not quite sure I got your questions... But one thing I can answer: spider legs are depressions. Do not forget that apart from shadows dark areas might be created by dust.
