Light coloured areas around craters

Just wondering what the light coloured areas were around each crater were? Are they remnants of previous "flumes" or impact zones when the craters were created? Thanks!

I thought these were boulders but they seem to have a different colour soil originating from them, like the plumes seen elsewhere?

I suggest the FANS actually eject material but the cratorettes vent at low volume so the ejecta merely stains the edges
