"Snow" like features

  • xbenr by xbenr

This picture has snow like features collecting across (i presume the north) side of the ridges, its obviously not water (H2O) at those temperatures so what else could it be? Any ideas?

or....... could it be some kind of dust collecting on the southern side of the ridges?

Either way, my very simple brain is very interested by like this image 😃

*when I say water I meant ice (Snow).

It is CO2 frost. I say "frost" because when we say snow we mean it condensed in the atmosphere, creating something like snowflakes or crystals. Here we do not know if this is the case, so frost is more proper naming. And btw when we say "ice" - we mean it's some kind of consolidated matter, like a block, slab, layer...

Thank you for the help with marking!
