Dust devil or something else?

Is this 'just' a dust devil, or something more interesting?

That's a fan of of material being blown from a carbon dioxide geyser on the south pole of Mars. We want you to mark things like that with the fan tool. There is an interesting image. If you see on the lower right there's a blue streak - that's actually CO2 frost condensing on the ice sheet from the geyser. Not all fans have that. So if you see that mark it on talk with #frost and mark it with the interesting feature tool.
Cheers,

The jet look vertical, casting a shadow?

I know, they sometimes totally do look like that. But, alas, that's impossible because all our images are taken from strictly above (within errors), so we never see anything from the side enough to be able to see a jet from the side.
