  At about 11 o'clock elongated dark spot.... blotch?

  I'd mark that as a blotch yes. Sometimes with these very dark 'inky' blotches it can look as is the material has flowed into a depression or valley and filled it. Not sure if that's what is actually going on but that can be the appearance
