Blotch?

  would the dark areas (one large in upper, and second to the right of center) be blotches? just getting started here

  Hi. Welcome to Mars.

  Yes, the dark spots are indeed blotches. You may already know (but just in case) the sunlight in these images comes from bottom right, so the other objects in the image are 'spider' channels with the left side of the depression in sunlight.
