Shadows?

  Hi there - sorry I'm brand new to this and on viewing this picture I'm not sure if these are blotches or perhaps shadows being cast. I've marked most of it as blotches, so hopefully they are - wouldn't want to stuff up the data.

  I would mark these as fans. They look wider to the top left and narrow on the bottom right. So i think the fans start in the direction of the bottom right and expand to the top left direction.
