Cracks in the ground?

    To me all these look more like cracks than anything else, really. If you look at them, they have this rather sharp contour on the right (more or less) and these fan-like plumages going down and left. No idea how to mark them, really, rather than as "interesting features"...

    For now mark the dark fan like plumes. The cracks in the ground are channels. They are carved into the surface of Mars by carbon dioxide gas trapped under the thawing carbon dioxide ice sheet on the south pole of Mars. You can learn more about what these features are here and here. in a later stage of the project we'll ask about the channels but for now we're interested in the positions and shape of the dark fans and blotches.
