Black Patches (direction of)

    Hi guys,

    Just wondering what causes the black plooms to all be pointing in the same direction? Are they shadows or is there wind on mars causing this to happen?

    I put money on it being a wind blowing as the eruptions take place from underground.

    Hi,
    There is wind on Mars as it has an atmospere but it's very thin. Google "Martian dust devils".
    So that is dust which has erupted and been blown towards top left.
    I'm marking those as fans and also using #Doublefan in the comments as it looks like they've blown in several directions.
